Are you a 30- to 55-year-old smoker or non-smoker who would like to support better understanding of COPD risk factors? This study aims to find early signs of COPD in adults who have a high risk of this condition. Researchers will compare results from questionnaires, lung tests, and other tests in people who smoke and in people who do not smoke to look for factors that predict which people will develop COPD. Are you a woman 18 years old or older who has been diagnosed with LAM? This study is examining whether long-term treatment with medicine called sirolimus can stop lung damage in women who have LAM. This study takes place at multiple locations in the United States.

Are you between 14 and 22 weeks pregnant, and think that you might have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) ? This study is testing whether using CPAP to treat obstructive sleep apnea in pregnant women can help lower the risk of hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old. This study takes place in multiple locations in the United States.

Are you an adult who has been diagnosed with sleep apnea, prediabetes, and overweight or obesity? This study aims to understand how sleep apnea raises the risk of diabetes. The study will test whether treating sleep apnea with medicines or continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) helps lower the risk of diabetes in people who have prediabetes. To participate in this study, you must be 20 to 65 years old. This study takes place in Chicago, Illinois.

Are you an African American adult with type 2 diabetes? This study is testing whether mindfulness meditation can help reduce stress and improve sleep. Participants will attend eight meditation classes in person or online and will receive regular text messages to remind them to practice meditation techniques at home. This study will leverage state-of-the-art, 24-hour behavior assessment in each trimester of pregnancy and examine associations with adverse pregnancy outcomes to inform guidelines and future interventions designed to improve women's pregnancy and long-term cardiovascular health.

The overall goal of this study is to use state-of-the-art monitors to objectively measure the 24-hour behavioral cycle in each trimester of pregnancy, and to examine associations of these behaviors with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and other adverse pregnancy outcomes linked with future cardiovascular disease risk.

This study is looking at how well oral anticoagulation medicines work to prevent complications, such as blood clots and heart attack, for patients who experience post-operative atrial fibrillation (POAF). Are you 65 years old or older, and do you have severe primary mitral regurgitation? This condition — also called degenerative mitral regurgitation — happens when there is a problem with the mitral valve itself or its supporting tissue, leading to a leaky valve. This study is comparing the safety and effectiveness of two different ways of repairing the mitral valve: transcatheter edge-to-edge repair and surgical repair. To participate in this study, your healthcare provider must determine that you are a candidate for both mitral valve transcatheter edge-to-edge repair and surgical repair.
