This study is testing the efficacy of a diuretic medicine called spironolactone that stops your body from absorbing too much salt and keeps your potassium levels from dropping too low. Participants of this study must be between 50 and 99 years old and already taking diuretic medicine. This study takes place in multiple locations across the United States and Sweden.

Do you or your child have sickle cell disease and access to a smart phone? This study tests whether a mobile app can help adolescents and young adults who have sickle cell disease take medicine, such as hydroxyurea, correctly and on time. To participate in this study, you or your child must be between 12 and 21 years old, have sickle cell disease, and be currently taking hydroxyurea. This study takes place in Chicago, Illinois.

Do you or your child have sickle cell disease? This study aims to develop a mathematical equation to estimate the functioning of the kidneys in children and adults with sickle cell disease. To participate in this study, you or your child must be between 5 and 50 years old. This study takes place in Birmingham, Alabama; Chicago, Illinois; and Memphis, Tennessee.

Are you an adult with sickle cell disease who doesn't experience pain episodes? This study uses machine learning to identify sickle cell disease patients who may be at increased risk of chronic kidney disease. To participate in this study, you must be between 18 and 65 years old with sickle cell disease and not experiencing any painful episodes. This study takes place in Chicago, Illinois, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and Memphis, Tennessee.

Are you an adult with heart failure and right bundle branch block (RBBB)? This study will evaluate the effectiveness and benefit of His-bundle-pacing enhanced cardiac resynchronization therapy (His-CRT) versus cardiac resynchronization therapy (BiV-CRT). This study is located in Rochester, New York.

Are you between 14 and 22 weeks pregnant, and think that you might have obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) ? This study is testing whether using CPAP to treat obstructive sleep apnea in pregnant women can help lower the risk of hypertensive disorders during pregnancy. To participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old. This study takes place in multiple locations in the United States.

Are you an adult who has been diagnosed with sleep apnea, prediabetes, and overweight or obesity? This study aims to understand how sleep apnea raises the risk of diabetes. The study will test whether treating sleep apnea with medicines or continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) helps lower the risk of diabetes in people who have prediabetes. To participate in this study, you must be 20 to 65 years old. This study takes place in Chicago, Illinois.

Are you an African American adult with type 2 diabetes? This study is testing whether mindfulness meditation can help reduce stress and improve sleep. Participants will attend eight meditation classes in person or online and will receive regular text messages to remind them to practice meditation techniques at home.
